Born with a wild imagination and a love for singing, Anni Thorn's creative journey began during childhood summers on an isolated island. That early passion led her to study drama and music through her teens and college years.
Her adult life became an international adventure. After working in the Swiss and French Alps, she spent seven years in England running a hospitality business and earning a degree in Design Studies. Returning to Sweden, she built a career in academia and innovation — collecting degrees, researching, and coaching at a science park — before deciding it was time to focus on her own ultimate expression of freedom: her art.
In 2019 a new chapter began under the name Anni Thorn. Since then she has held solo exhibitions around the world, from Newark and Stockholm to the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. In 2020 she began working with Svenska Konstgalleriet and gallery owner Mikaela Himmelström, who has taken her work to an international market.
Today she divides her time between a studio on her olive farm in Álora, Málaga, and her home town and ski resort of Åre in Jämtland, Sweden. Her pieces are held by private and corporate collectors across Europe and the USA.
